Even people from this side have dreams! Lidia Perez lives in the city of Acapulco, Mexico. She has a bookstore, which she considers to be her dream haven, a son, the light of her eyes, and a wonderful husband, who is a fearless journalist. One day, a man walks into her bookstore and buys two of her favorite books. His name is Javier and he is erudite. Lidia doesn't know it, but he is the boss of the newest drug cartel in town. A very special friendship is born between the two, which makes Lidia believe in the goodness of that man. In a city run by a drug cartel, friends can become enemies overnight, and Lydia has no choice but to escape the city with her son.
